ECMA 2010 In Search of New Event Chair

McNeil resigns due to other commitments
(Charlottetown, PE) - The East Coast Music Association (ECMA) is in search of a new Event Chair for the 2010 East Coast Music Awards, Festival & Conference. Ian McNeil has recently stepped down from the role citing personal and professional reasons.
A team has been formed to identify potential candidates in Cape Breton to take on the role and that process is well underway. The ECMA is grateful to McNeil for all he has done to date, including the formation of a strong event committee to help lead event preparations.
"Ian is such a tremendous person and has done a significant amount of work for the event to date," says Su Hutchinson, executive director with the ECMA. "We are sad to see him go but understand full well that life and other commitments sometimes take precedent. We wish him very well with all of his future endeavors."
The East Coast Music Awards, Festival & Conference is an annual event organized bythe ECMA as a critical part of its mission statement. The 2010 event will take place in Sydney, Cape Breton, NS, from March 4-7. The ECMAis a not-for-profit organization whose mandate it is to foster, promote and celebrate East Coast music locally and globally.
